The Mambo Room is the vision of Cesar & Sandra Sanchez and Tracy Holland. Cesar and Sandra are the main instructors at the studio. While Tracy is the manager of day to day operations, and is known for assisting both the instructors or students during Mambo Room classes.
It is also the new home of the Clave Tumbao Dance Company. The dance company, founded by Cesar and Sandra Sanchez is known nationally and internationally for their instruction, performances and passion for latin dance. Clave Tumbao Dance Company has taught at numerous dance studios in the area prior to opening their own location, some venues include: Dynamic Movements School of Performing Arts, Dance City USA, TR Dance Center, Granby Theater, DanceSportVA, A Time to Dance and Diverse Dance Studio.
While not a competition based dance company, Clave Tumbao has been selected as expert judges in various competitions in the area. The company was also recently honored at the Washington, DC Convention Center for their contributions to the salsa community.
Clave Tumbao Dance Company is also known for their successful salsa bashes held every season. These seasonal bashes attract salsa dancers from as far as New York City to Atlanta and everywhere in between.
