Scholarships for Dance

The Mambo Room believes in sharing the gift of dance with children. Kids dance programs help not only foster a love of dance and arts; but an outlet that keeps kids healthy, teaches social etiquette and builds confidence. The 2010 danceathon helped to raise funds to sponsor children from ForKids, a non-profit organization that asists homeless families in Hampton Roads. Children selected by ForKids received full scholarships to the Mambo Room Kids dance program.

In addition to the kids scholarships, Mambo Room was able to bring international dance companies to teach authentic latin dance workshops, two of which were Anna and Joel Masacote of Masacote Entertainment, Norbetto Herrera of Mambo Dinamico Dance Co., and Darlin Garcia from Art in Motion.

"Dance for a Cause" is more than just dancing to raise money, it is saving lives and building communities through dance!
